Nursery Owners

Hello, we are Claire and Craig. We own, direct and maintain the Beacon Day Nursery. This is something we have always wanted to do and we really enjoy all the challenges it brings. 

Claire - My background is in paediatric nursing. In the past I have worked in Manchester, London and Greece. 

Craig - Craig is a builder by trade and assists with nursery maintenance.

Nursery Manager

Hi, I'm Georgia and I'm the nursery manager here at The Beacon Day Nursery. I hold a level 5 in the Management of Children and Young People's Workforce, and I am also trained in children's and adults mental health. My aim (alongside a fantastic team) is to create a calm, nurturing, home from home experience for your children to ensure they have all the foundations in place to express themselves, develop and grow in confidence. We offer real, authentic resources for the children to explore, as they open up a wealth of opportunities for learning. We feel our calm environment offers children the opportunities to feel safe, secure and loved, therefore allowing them to reach their full potential. We are currently working toward our Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) accreditation. Hygge originated in Denmark and means 'creating a warm, cosy atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people.

Nursery Practitioner & SENCO

  Hi, I'm Rachael and I am the nursery SENCO. I work in the Pre-school room, and I hold a level 2 and 3 childcare qualification, and I am currently working towards my level 5. I have worked with children for the last 13 years. I love the job and all the challenges that every new day brings.

Hello, I'm Hannah and I work in the Toddler Room at nursery. I started my career as a nursery apprentice at age 17 and now have 11 years experience. I also have a little boy who is 2 years old. When I'm not at work, I like going out for walks and exploring puddles with my little boy.

Hello, I'm Hannah and I work in the Pre-school room at nursery. I have recently qualified with my level 3 qualified and I am looking forward to gaining experience and using my knowledge to help the children to develop and grow during their time at nursery.

Nursery Apprentice - MATERNITY LEAVE

Hello, I'm Cassia and I'm currently working towards my level 3 qualification. I have previously completed a qualification in Health and Social care, where I got a small amount of experience working with children, and this prompted me to complete the full childcare qualification. I work in the Toddler room at nursery and love the challenges that each day brings.

Nursery Practitioner

Hi, I'm Sophie and I'm level 3 qualified in children's care and education. I work in the toddler room and love seeing the children grow and develop each day. I enjoy seeing the children reach new milestones and achieve what they set out to do, whilst challenging them to develop their skills further.
